She draws on personal narratives and critically examines societal norms in her storytelling, creating impactful cinematic experiences that deeply resonate with audiences.
Anuradha has had the privilege of earning degrees in various fields of study, including a BSc in Zoology, an MSc in Applied Organizational Psychology, and an Executive MBA in International Business from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. She has gained extensive work experience in the corporate world, primarily in the areas of communication, coaching, and training, where she quickly advanced from being a professional associate to an expert and consultant. Ultimately, she found her calling through a Post Graduate Certificate in Creative Documentary Filmmaking from the Sri Aurobindo Centre of Arts and Communication, New Delhi.
Her journey began with A Distant Song (2017), a dissertation documentary that received accolades at both national and international film festivals. The film inspired her experimental installation, City Soundscape, showcased at Goethe-Institute/Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi, as part of collective coursework extension, which redefined the relationship between sound and image. Her portfolio includes a range of projects, such as Magic Moments (2019) commissioned by Akshardham Yuvati Mandal and the curation of Alternate Space (2020), an audiovisual exhibition featuring eight international contemporary artists at Gallery ONKAF, New Delhi. Her short film, Over a Cup of Tea (2022), was part of the Kochi Biennale satellite exhibit, A Place at the Table. In 2023, Anuradha contributed as cinematographer and editor for A Long Walk Home, a women’s empowerment film that became a top-10 finalist in the LICHFL Womentaries competition. Her debut feature-length non-fiction film, A Good Wife, which was mentored at DocEdge Kolkata and selected for the prestigious Edit Camp rough cut lab, is slated for release in early 2025.
Anuradha’s filmmaking continues to engage deeply with the human experience, blending creativity and critical inquiry to craft stories that inspire and challenge.
